Red envelop cards
Growing up with getting red envelop cards I decided to design my own “not so red” envelop card! Mixing the lucky cat with retro-futurism I’ve created a card box and an envelope through lino carving and letterpressing.
ALien cats!?
As a cat owner, I am fully convinced that they are not from this world and are actually aliens! (not really maybe haha…)
Initially, I was assigned to create a box, and I decided to give it a Lucky Cat theme. The challenge came when I had to design a print that was both retro-futuristic and cohesive with our existing box collection.
So what did I do? Put antennas on the cat.
what’s with the concept?
The sketch was originally made on Procreate and to mimic the ‘60s retro horror movie posters! I also drew inspiration from Godzilla to mix in a sense of horror and absurdity.
