Yikes!
What had started as a book cover turned into a whole illustrated and written book…
In my sophomore year, we were tasked to make a book cover for our tablemates. I chose my friend Tyler and began to draw drafts on what a book about her would look like. After a quick questionnaire with Tyler at the coffee shop, I started to develop a story.
Because of my love of comic books, I wanted the book to look hand-drawn and quirky. As I developed my thoughts, I felt that the story behind the cover wasn’t enough for the ideas I wanted to convey just by the book cover itself. So after a few weeks of little to no sleep, I illustrated and put together the pages in Indesign from Photoshop.
I ended up with a mock children’s scholastic book that involved all of my tablemates as side characters to Tyler!
